About Leisa

Leisa Wharington is an eminent glassblower based on Victoria’s Mornington Peninsula.

After attaining an Arts Degree in Ceramic Design, Leisa spent an early chapter of her career overseas. She studied at Seattle’s Pilchuck Glass School - the international home of studio glassblowing - in the 80s, returning again in the early 2000s to undertake a residency focusing on technical experimentation with lathes, grinding methodologies and polishing practices. This speculative, play-based approach has become a constant pillar of Leisa’s, lending to the creation of covetable pieces that exude a sense of whimsical refinement.
